Tips, news, and insight on KeyShot and 3D Rendering

Phil Renato is the founding chair of the Allesee Metals/Jewelry Design program at Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) and he's been so kind as to share the student work from this fall's 2012 Digital Modeling class. This course explores the creation, manipulation, and employment of three-dimensional digital models in the design process and the use of KeyShot to create renderings and animation of each design.

Each semester, students are responsible for modeling, rendering and presenting their final project. There are great examples of past student work on the KCAD Industrial Design homepage as well as info on their approach of combining art and engineering. Here are the highlights from the demo reels put together by each student this semester. You can see the full set of video portfolios on Phil Renato's Fall 2012 Flickr site.
