Tips, news, and insight on KeyShot and 3D Rendering

This week we're at the annual Solid Edge user event in Cincinatti, Ohio and on this day, we're very excited to announce a partnership with Siemens PLM that brings new integration to KeyShot and Solid Edge. We've been working closely with the Solid Edge development teams to make this tightest level of integration yet. With it, you have both the ability to set up materials within Solid Edge and the use of Luxion's LiveLinkingTM technology to push changes directly to KeyShot.

With Solid Edge ST6, you will have the ability to increase the quality of your 3D renderings, animations and interactive visuals used in communicating concepts, delivering internal presentations, developing digital prototyping and creating sales or marketing visuals.

The integration with KeyShot allows you to set up KeyShot materials within Solid Edge, refine the appearance of your design, then transfer material assignments over to KeyShot for further development and the creation of KeyShot animations or KeyShotVR's, an interactive visual to present models on browsers or mobile devices.

The integration will also incorporate KeyShot LiveLinking, giving you the ability to launch KeyShot directly from the Solid Edge interface, automatically sending both the design and all the assigned material appearances to KeyShot.

This integration will be available as a free plugin via the KeyShot website at the launch of Solid Edge ST6 later this summer. You can view the full press release on the news here.
